Enjoying Fall

Fall in New England is full of fun activities like carving pumpkins, going on hayrides, watching football with friends, checking out the nearby Fall Show and - if you're 6 months pregnant like me - eating anything pumpkin-flavored you can get your hands on.  Here's a look at what we've been up to.

tractor rides with Cole and Emma last weekend
 Jill being proactive of Emma
practicing to be a big sis
Fall Show in Dighton on Saturday
one of the highlights of the day - petting a calf

 the other highlight

Jill insisted on taking pictures of every single tractor for her cousin Guy
She kept backing up to make sure she included the entire tractor in the frame. Impressive!

 walking Rachael Sunday morning
Sunday afternoon at Araujo Farm in Dighton
Cole and Emma waiting in line for the hayride
 Mandy, Cole and Mel
 Here we go!
 pumpkin patch pitstop
future DBs - Emma, Faith and Jill
This was before she called the hayride "brutal" because the straw was making her legs itchy. She rode home pantless and jumped in the tub as soon as we walked into the house!
Someday I will tell her that I hate puzzles,
but not yet.

She literally worked on this 100-piece puzzle two nights in a row and finished it!  We were so impressed and kept joking that she was a genius!

Tony's Trip Over the Pond

Tony had the opportunity to visit England for eight days through work recently.  We survived without him, though not without multiple FaceTime sessions and Jill whining that she wanted to give her Dad a hug.

Kylie Turns Two

Later that day we celebrated Kylie's second birthday.  Jill had a blast, as you can see!

Showering Elisa

Elisa and Tim are getting ready to welcome their first child - a girl - in mid-November.  On Sunday, all of the college roommates met in Quincy for her baby shower.  The food, especially the French toast, was amazing and I barely left room for cupcakes and Mrs. DiCarlo's homemade Italian cookies.

Boston in the distance

a beautiful day to visit the golf course

Meanwhile, down the road in Quincy at Heidi's place....

Jill snuggled with Heidi and her boyfriend, Tom, and watched Wild Kratts

They - well maybe more Tom - carved pumpkins too.  Notice the "gross" pumpkin, that's all Jill was saying throughout the carving process.
