Boat Ride with the Aunts

On July 5 (the 5-year wedding anniversary for Andrea and Chris), we took the boat out around 10 a.m. and didn't come back to the dock until 8:30 or so.  It was a long but very fun day with Mel, Brian and Cole in the Cove.  And it was a beautiful sunset ride in!

 For the second year in a row, we went to Beth's house in Assonet for the 3rd of July festivities.

 This year we even got my Mom out in the canoe.

Some kids - including my previous self - are scared of fireworks.  Not Jill.  She cheered, squealed and clapped.  The louder, the better!  Tony, my Mom and I came home to the aunties visiting.  They almost locked us out but we made our way into the house.

11 Years

So much has happened in the last 11 years and 1 day.  June 27, 2002 seems like yesterday and ages ago at the same time.  We've moved I-don't-even-know-how-many-times (twice cross-country); bought 3 homes; had a beautiful baby girl; and of course faced family loss together. 

I love you, Tony.  I'm looking forward to many more years.  Together.

Chatham - This is the Life

 It would be an understatement to say that Mary Ellen's parents' house is nice.  It's amazing.

 We arrived late Friday afternoon.  Jill couldn't wait to get to the beach.

Florida: Orange You Glad You're Here?

It seems like ages ago, but it was only last week that I had the opportunity to go to Ft. Lauderdale for a few days for work.

I strategically planned my flight to arrive early enough to meet Justine, my college roommate, and her family for time on the beach and in the pool.  We enjoyed a delicious lunch with my friend/co-worker/travel buddy, Tara, complete with a pitcher of mojitos.
